Integrative Psychotherapist
I am an integrative therapist, which simply means I incorporate a broad range of ideas and approaches in my practice, depending on the client, life stage and the problem or issues being experienced.
My initial training was completed at Regent’s University, an established and respected London training organisation where I completed a 5 year programme including a foundation certificate, first and advanced diplomas in psychotherapy and counselling. I also engage in annual and ongoing professional development, which is an important aspect of a psychotherapeutic career.
I am accredited through the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by the ethics and standards of practice of both organisations.
I have worked in the NHS, the charities sector and in private practice. As one of the initial psychotherapists at The School of Life in London, I contributed significantly to the establishment of its psychotherapy service.
A first career in financial services included a variety of roles, latterly in human resources, which gave me a wealth of life experience and included extensive travel and work internationally. In some respects this experience also taught me first hand how difficult change can be and created a desire to help others navigate their own personal change.
